The DRA-900H pairs a two-channel discrete amplifier rated at 100 W per channel into 8 ohms with a modern AV section. It has six HDMI inputs and one output, with 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz pass-through on three inputs, upscaling of 1080p and 4K signals to 8K, HDR10+, HLG and ALLM pass-through, and HDMI ARC for TV audio.
For music it includes a moving-magnet phono input, analog, optical and coaxial inputs, a USB port, an AM/FM tuner and two subwoofer outputs. Streaming runs through the HEOS platform with AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Roon Tested status, Bluetooth and a range of online services, plus DSD and 192/24 file playback. HEOS also allows multi-room playback with other HEOS speakers, and voice control works through Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri.
Speakers connect to four gold-plated screw terminals, with A/B speaker switching. A guided setup assistant, an HD on-screen interface and the RC-1259 remote handle day-to-day use, and the receiver connects to a network over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
