The WH500 is a foldable on-ear Bluetooth headphone built around a 30mm composite dynamic driver (PU and PEEK diaphragm). It is rated for 40 hours of playback from a charge that takes about 2 hours, and a 10-minute fast charge gives roughly 6 hours of listening. Playback time varies with surroundings, volume and source.
A multifunction button switches between Music Mode and Game Mode, the latter with 80ms latency. Built-in microphones with signal processing handle hands-free calls, including in noisy places. The Edifier Connect app adds EQ presets (Classic or Dynamic), adjustable EQ, a shutdown timer (5 minutes to 3 hours) and a safe-volume option that caps output at 85dB.
Connection is Bluetooth 5.2 with support for switching between two devices, for example a laptop and a phone. The only listed audio codec is SBC. Charging is by USB-C, and the folding, lightweight body weighs 172g.
