Brenso

Brenso combines two analog oscillators, one yellow and one green, with a processing stage built from a timbre section and an amplitude modulation section. Both oscillators have triangle cores with through-zero behaviour. They can be modulated and synced internally or from external sources. Frequency modulation can be exponential, linear through-zero, or any mix of the two, with separate deviation controls for each oscillator. The green oscillator also runs at sub-audio rates, so it can serve as an LFO.

The timbre section has two parallel waveshapers with PWM, blended by a crossfader and passed to a wavefolder with a symmetry control. The wavefolder can be pinged from a dedicated clock input, giving a shapeable non-linear decay that suits percussive tones. A four-quadrant multiplier then applies amplitude or ring modulation using the green sine wave, with a crossfader setting the balance of modulated and dry signal.

Timbre CV inputs are semi-normalled to a timbre modulation bus, which is in turn semi-normalled to the green sine. Other destinations are semi-normalled to the other oscillator's sine, with attenuverters and attenuators for control. Any normalling can be broken by patching. Coarse frequency lock buttons hold each oscillator's coarse setting, and the green oscillator can be synced to the yellow with Lock Sync or Flip Sync. Eight waveform outputs are provided.
