QCon Pro

The QCon Pro is a USB control surface with eight touch-sensitive motorized channel faders and a ninth motorized fader for the master channel. Each strip has mute, solo, select and record-arm buttons plus a 12-segment level meter, and eight push-enabled rotary encoders with LED rings sit above them for sends, pan, EQ and plugin parameters. A Flip function swaps fader and encoder roles for finer plugin control, and Track-Shift and Bank-Shift move the strips across the session.

Navigation, transport, zoom, automation modes and editing are handled by dedicated controls, including a jog wheel, arrow keys, six transport buttons and assignable function buttons with a Shift layer. A backlit display shows track names and parameter values, and a separate LED readout shows position in SMPTE or bars/beats. Up to three QCon EX extenders can be added to reach 32 channels, and the extra strips follow Track Shift, Bank Shift, Flip and automation.

The unit connects over USB 2.0 and works with Mackie Control and HUI protocols, with presets for Cubase, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Samplitude and Studio One. iMap software allows custom MIDI mapping and firmware updates. An expansion port behind the display takes the UMix 1008 Satellite audio interface, which adds eight mic/inst/line inputs, six outputs and S/PDIF, with two headphone outputs on the front panel.
