SM-5-C
The SM-5-C is the 5-inch model in Kali Audio's Santa Monica series: a self-powered three-way studio monitor with 225 W of Class D amplification and onboard DSP for room calibration. It suits mixing and mastering in rooms that need per-speaker correction.

The SM-5-C is a three-way, self-powered studio monitor with a 1-inch metal-dome tweeter, a 4-inch paper-cone midrange and a 5-inch paper woofer, each driven by its own channel of a 3-channel Class D amplifier. The midrange is shaped to double as the tweeter's waveguide, and the cabinet is front ported. Quoted response is 39 Hz to 35 kHz at -10 dB, with a peak output of 117 dB SPL at 1 meter.
Each speaker has onboard DSP with 8 parametric EQs, delay and a trim control, so room calibration is stored in the monitor and applies to any source plugged into it. Settings are edited in Kali Control Panel for Mac and Windows, over Ethernet or offline through files loaded from a USB drive. The software is currently in beta. The DSP runs in the existing signal path, with latency under 3 ms.
On the recessed rear panel there are balanced XLR/TRS combo inputs, AES/EBU over BNC with a thru output, an RJ45 port for control and a trim wheel. The front has a USB-A port, a capacitive-touch logo for standby and a multi-color status LED. Mounting holes on the top and bottom use a 4.25 x 2-inch bolt pattern.
