Sub8 pairs an 8-inch paper cone woofer with a sealed cabinet and a Class-D amplifier rated at 150 W RMS (300 W peak). The sealed design is aimed at a controlled low end, with a stated frequency response of 35 Hz to 175 Hz.
An adjustable low-pass filter and a phase control let the user match the subwoofer to the main speakers and the room. The cabinet is built from rigid MDF with a laminate finish, rubber feet and a metal grille over the driver, and it measures about 28 x 28 x 30.3 cm.
The subwoofer connects through RCA left/right line-level inputs. A power cord and an RCA cable are supplied, so it can be connected to a suitable amplifier or receiver with a subwoofer or line output straight away. It is offered in a matte white finish.
