The RP-450CA uses the same acoustic design as the RP-450C but comes in a real wood walnut veneer, chosen to pair visually with the RP-280FA Dolby Atmos floorstanding speakers. It is a center-channel speaker intended to keep dialog clear and give a wide front soundstage in Dolby Atmos systems.
The driver complement is a 1-inch titanium tweeter with linear travel suspension, mounted in a 90x90 hybrid Tractrix horn, alongside four 5.25-inch spun copper cerametallic cone woofers. A newly designed Tractrix port handles the low-frequency output.
The cabinet is available in walnut or black wood veneer and has a removable grille. A manual for the Reference Premiere speaker range is available as a download.
