The Kreate 5 is a powered near-field monitor with a 5-inch woven glass fiber composite woofer and a 1-inch textile dome tweeter on a neodymium motor. The two drivers are fed by separate amplifiers, a Class D stage for the low end and a Class A/B stage for the highs, giving 60 W total. Frequency response is 58 Hz to 40 kHz (±3 dB), with a crossover at 2.56 kHz and a maximum SPL of 105 dB.
Tone controls for the woofer and driver can be set independently, and there are acoustic boundary settings and tuning EQ combinations for adapting the monitor to the room. The enclosure is vinyl-wrapped MDF with an MDF baffle and a reinforced polystyrene faceplate.
For connections, the monitor has a combo XLR/TRS 1/4-inch balanced input and an unbalanced RCA input. It can also receive audio over Bluetooth Classic 5.3 (A2DP), and True Wireless Stereo mode allows two units to be paired as a wireless stereo set. It runs from 100-240 V AC mains.
