The ST20C is a single-channel, two-voice valve combo built around two ECC83 preamp valves, an ECC83 phase splitter and a pair of 5881 power valves. Output can be switched between 20W and 5W, so the same amp can be used at low volume at home or pushed harder in a rehearsal room or on stage. Tone is shaped with Normal/Loudness II and High Treble/Loudness I inputs and controls, plus Treble, Middle, Bass and Presence.
The cabinet holds a single 12-inch Celestion G12M-65 Creamback (16Ω, 65W). Styling follows the 1960s Marshall look, with a solid metal coffin logo and gold piping and beading. The amp is built at the maker's factory in Bletchley, England.
For connection there are four 1/4" instrument inputs with high and low sensitivity, a series-switchable effects loop and a DI output on a 1/4" jack. Speaker outputs are five 1/4" jack sockets covering 16Ω, 8Ω and 4Ω loads. A detachable power cable is included.
