The DJM-2000NXS is a four-channel digital mixer designed to sit next to CDJ-2000NXS players, sharing their chrome-plated knobs and white LED buttons. Each channel has a three-band EQ isolator and a peak level meter, and a redesigned peak limiter is intended to prevent distortion and clipping at high club volumes.
Creative tools include Beat Slice for sampling and slicing tracks on the fly, Frequency Remix with a 7-band touch cross fader, and Side Chain Remix, which brings louder side chain oscillators and multiple effect chaining from the RMX-1000. Quantized Beat FX snaps effects, cues and loops to the rekordbox beat grid. The Magvel faders use a contact-free magnetic system on two metal shafts, and the crossfader can be assigned per channel with an adjustable curve.
For connectivity, Pro DJ Link allows multiple players, turntables or laptops to be linked over LAN and share one source with rekordbox. A USB audio interface lets a PC or Mac play through the mixer without an external soundcard, with a different input assignable to each channel and master output sent back for recording. Assignable MIDI functions let it act as a controller for external devices.
