3090Ci

The 3090Ci is the centre speaker of the 3000i range and is designed to reproduce dialogue and on-screen sound in a home cinema system. It is a two-way reflex design with two 100 mm (4 in) mid/bass drivers and a 22 mm (0.9 in) treble unit, with a crossover frequency of 2.7 kHz and a stated frequency response of 75 Hz – 30 kHz (+3 dB, -6 dB).

The tweeter is decoupled from the baffle by a compliant suspension, so vibration from the woofers reaches it less. The mid/bass cones are made of impregnated and coated paper with a low-hysteresis rubber surround. P2P bracing stiffens the cabinet, and the conventional terminal panel cut-out has been removed to improve structural rigidity. Each driver has a chrome bezel, and magnetic grilles are included.

Connection is through low-profile binding posts with sockets deep enough for 4 mm banana plugs. The cabinet is 430 mm wide, the same width as most amplifiers and AV receivers. It can stand on pre-fitted rubber feet on a shelf or in a cabinet, or be wall-mounted on the optional WB50 bracket. Finishes are Carbon Black, Arctic White, Graphite Grey and English Walnut.
