The Regency is a two-channel guitar pedal with an overdrive circuit and a class-A power booster. The overdrive emphasises the low-mid frequencies and adds sustain and harmonics. It is meant to add punch without muddying the notes. The two channels can be used separately or together.
The booster provides up to +23dB of clean gain. It can push the front end of a smaller amp into natural breakup. Engaging the booster also activates a built-in effects loop. A delay or similar pedal connected to the loop is then switched in automatically for solos, with a single footswitch press.
The pedal uses true-bypass switching, so the signal path is unaltered when the pedal is off. It runs from a standard 9V power supply. The manufacturer lists the model as discontinued and no longer shipping. A user guide and a smart sheet are available for existing owners.
