ORIGIN EVO is a 16- or 32-channel analogue in-line mixing console that builds on the SSL 4000 Series, with E Series dynamics, the 242 'Black Knob' EQ and PureDrive mic preamps on every channel. It is aimed at studios that want a hybrid analogue and DAW workflow.

ORIGIN EVO is an all-analogue in-line console that carries the 4000 Series sound forward. Each channel has PureDrive mic preamps with a DRIVE option, E Series dynamics with a true RMS sidechain detector and a Class-A VCA gain-reduction stage, and the 242 four-band parametric EQ. High-pass and low-pass filters can be routed to the EQ, the dynamics sidechain or both, and every path has an insert point plus a 0 dB fader bypass for printing stems.
The mix bus uses an all-analogue design and the console includes an enhanced SSL Bus Compressor with added ratios, an insert return and a sidechain filter. Routing is electronic, with a single ROUTE switch per channel addressing the central bus assignments. The centre tiles hold a track bus matrix with sixteen trims, solo and monitoring sections, four stereo returns and two stereo foldback outputs. An Auto Sleep mode puts the console into standby after prolonged inactivity.
The modular 19-inch centre section can hold a UF8 or UF1 DAW controller, 19-inch processors or 500 Series racks. The stereo groups tile and the meter panel can be repositioned. Existing ORIGIN owners can retrofit EVO channel strips in 8-channel upgrade kits.
