Stirling III LZ Special Edition

The Stirling III LZ Special Edition is a two-way floor-standing loudspeaker built around a 10-inch Dual Concentric driver, in which the tweeter sits at the centre of the bass/mid cone to act as a single point source. It revisits the original III LZ from 1967 and uses current driver and component technology while keeping the classic look and design approach of that model.

The driver combines a Pepperpot Waveguide, an Alnico motor system, an aluminium-magnesium diaphragm and a Mylar surround compression driver. A front-mounted two-band energy control panel lets the listener raise or lower the high frequencies to suit the room. The cabinet is handcrafted from high-density materials, with extensive bracing that uses DMT (Differential Materials Technology) for driver coupling and rigidity.

Connection is through customised Tannoy binding posts, plus a fifth binding post intended to reduce RF interference. Each pair ships with an owner's care package and a Birth Certificate of authenticity, and the speakers are designed and made in the UK.
