The DX626 is a three-channel DJ mixer. Each channel has two stereo inputs, a gain control and a 3-band EQ that can cut a band by up to 32 dB. One channel can be switched over to a microphone input fitted with an ultra-low-noise preamp. The mic section has a manual talkover function that lowers the music level so a voice stays audible.
Two automatic BPM counters each show which channel they are tracking and its tempo in beats per minute. A Beat Assist button lets the user tap in a tempo by hand. The mixer also displays the tempo difference between two tracks and shows a visual indication when they are in sync.
The channel faders are described as dual-rail Ultraglide types rated for up to 500,000 cycles, and the crossfader is a VCA-controlled optical design. Monitoring is handled by a PFL function with a Master/PFL mix option, and a peak-hold level meter includes a dedicated PFL bar graph. A BNC socket is provided for a gooseneck lamp. Inputs accept line-level, phono, CD, tape, mp3 player and minidisk sources.
