The unit is a digital zone manager that takes 16 inputs and routes them to 16 outputs, with DSP available on both inputs and outputs. Each zone (output) can have its own source selection, volume, mute and three-band tone control. Four priority levels with ducker and pager functions allow announcements to override background audio. Available DSP includes frequency shifter, stereo link, delay, crossover filters, 8-band graphic EQ and compressor/limiter.
Setup is done from a web browser through the embedded Hangar application, and predefined setups let a basic installation be running quickly. Day-to-day control is possible from the front panel, from up to 8 eMCONTROL1 wall panels and up to 2 eMPAGE paging consoles, from the Ecler pilot app for Android and iOS, or from third-party systems over the TP-NET protocol.
Inputs comprise 4 line inputs, 4 mic/line inputs with switchable phantom power and 8 remote inputs on RJ45. Outputs are 16 balanced Euroblock lines plus a selectable headphone monitor. It connects over 10/100 Ethernet, RS-232 (DB9) and an RS485 remote bus, and has a dry-contact mute port. It is a 2RU, 19-inch rack unit and the successor to the eMIMO1616.
