The W280NB is a Bluetooth 5.0 wireless headset for exercise and daily listening. It offers active noise cancelling that can be switched to an ambient sound mode, so the wearer can hear the surroundings without removing the earpieces. AI-based call noise reduction filters background sound during calls. A game mode lowers latency to as little as 80 ms and uses a tuned EQ to bring out cues such as footsteps.
Sound comes from 8 mm dynamic drivers with a polymer composite diaphragm and DAIKOKU coils. The body is made from elastic TPU, weighs 32 g and is rated IP55 against dust and water. Playback runs about 13 hours with ANC off and 11 hours with ANC on. Charging is by USB-C, with a full charge taking about 1 hour and a 10-minute top-up giving roughly 2.5 hours of use.
The headphones pair over Bluetooth using the A2DP, AVRCP and HFP profiles with SBC audio coding. The Edifier Connect app on a phone switches between noise cancelling, ambient sound and game mode, and gives access to music controls.
