Battalion

The Battalion combines several bass processing stages in one pedal. A four-band EQ covers bass (below 200 Hz), low mid (boost/cut at 280 Hz), high mid (boost/cut at 750 Hz) and treble (boost/cut above 2 kHz). A compressor with its own pushbutton, amount knob and LED adds sustain and thump, and a noise gate with an adjustable threshold reduces noise and hum.

The MOSFET distortion section has Level, Blend, Drive and Tone controls and its own footswitch. A three-position switch sets where the distortion sits in the signal path: before the EQ, after the EQ, or Dry EQ, where only the dry signal mixed in by the Blend control passes through the EQ. The input jack has a switchable 10 dB pad for active basses or other high-output instruments.

On the connection side, the pedal has a quarter-inch input, a main output, a dry output and a balanced XLR output. The XLR has its own volume knob, a bypass-follow button and a ground-lift button for pin 1. Bypass is buffered, and the pedal runs from the supplied 9.6 V DC adapter.
