The F55E is a floorstanding loudspeaker in the F500E range, sold as a pair. It uses a 125 mm IsoFlare point-source driver, combining a multi-fibre bass/mid cone with a 19 mm titanium dome compression tweeter. A second 125 mm multi-fibre bass driver supports the low end in a 2.5-way layout.
A downward-firing port with a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser spreads low frequencies around the room, so positioning is less critical. The cabinet is MDF and the available finish is Black Ash. The crossover points are 350 Hz and 1.8 kHz, with a 2nd order low-pass and 1st order high-pass design.
The speaker connects to an amplifier rated for 30 to 120 W RMS and has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. Continuous power handling is 60 W RMS. Sensitivity is 88 dB (2.83 V at 1 m). The cabinet stands 925 mm tall and weighs 11.9 kg each.
