The D2 is a handheld dynamic microphone aimed at stage vocals and instrument performance, and it can also be used for recording vocals or instruments. Its response is described as extended and tailored to on-stage use, with a smooth, natural tonal character.
The capsule uses a neodymium magnet structure, which gives a higher output and wider dynamic range. A cardioid pickup pattern helps reduce feedback on stage. A built-in suspension system isolates the capsule so that mechanical and electronic handling noise is suppressed to an inaudible level.
The body is all metal and includes an on/off switch. The grill is made of dent-resistant spring steel and has an integrated windscreen. A user manual is available for download from the product page.
