The MidiPort 2 is a compact USB MIDI interface that provides two MIDI inputs and two MIDI outputs, for a total of 32 input and 32 output MIDI channels. It links external MIDI instruments and controllers to a computer over USB 2.0 and is designed for accurate MIDI timing.
On Mac and Windows it works as a plug-and-play device, with no IRQ, I/O address or DMA channel setup. It is class-compliant with Windows XP, Vista (32-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Mac OS X. For Windows there is also a MultiPlat driver in 32-bit and 64-bit versions, which supports use of the interface by multiple applications.
Power comes from the USB bus, so no external power supply is needed. Supported systems are listed as Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan to macOS 13 Ventura on Intel, M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, M1 Ultra and M2 processors, and Windows 7 to 11. A user manual and a quickstart guide are available for download.
