The RP-450C is the center-channel model in the Reference Premiere range. It is built to reproduce spoken dialogue and sung lyrics from the front of a home theater setup, using four 5.25-inch spun copper Cerametallic cone woofers arranged around a central high-frequency section.
The tweeter is a 1-inch titanium unit with linear travel suspension, loaded by a 90° x 90° Hybrid Cross-Section Tractrix horn. The enclosure is MDF with a brushed polymer veneer baffle finish, and a newly designed Tractrix port is used for the low-frequency output. A removable grille, described as strong and flexible, covers the front.
The cabinet measures 6.81 x 31.13 x 14.51 inches. A spec sheet and a product manual for the Reference Premiere speaker series are available as downloads from the maker. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning.
