Beatmix 2

The Beatmix 2 is a two-deck controller built around Serato DJ. It pairs a two-channel mixer, with a 3-band EQ and gain control per channel, line faders and a crossfader, with two jog wheels that have aluminium platters and touch-sensitive surfaces. The 16 rubberised, colour-coded pads cover hot cues, loops and samples, and a split mode lets cue and sampler functions run together. A dedicated sampler volume fader and SP-6 sample bank control are included.

Two effects units each have three rotary controls and an endless encoder, and they drive the iZotope effects engine inside Serato. Up to three effects can be combined, and effect quantization can be adjusted. Other controls include a 14-bit pitch fader with pitch bend buttons, stutter and sync transport controls, fader start, quick-skip and mouse-free playlist navigation.

The unit connects to a computer over USB and is bus powered. An integrated audio interface provides a stereo RCA master output, two headphone outputs (3.5 mm and 6.3 mm) and a 6.3 mm microphone input with its own level control. ASIO drivers are available for Windows, and the controller also sends MIDI for use with other DJ software.
