Terminal Mix 8

The Terminal Mix 8 is a four-deck controller built for Serato DJ, with a mixer and player layout intended for a traditional DJ workflow. Its performance section has 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads that trigger hot cues, loops, samples and a slicer. Slicer mode divides the playing track into eight equal parts across the pads, and loop mode stores up to eight loops, with sizes set by a dedicated loop encoder. A Dual mode lets the top and bottom pad rows work in different modes at the same time, and the pad colours show the active mode and status.

Each channel has a rubberised filter knob, and the mixer includes club-style faders with crossfader curve and assign controls on the front panel. The effects section has three rotary knobs, an endless encoder and four buttons for the iZotope-powered effects in Serato DJ, and the SP-6 sampler banks can be controlled from the pads. The jog wheels are 15.5 cm with a vinyl-style surface, alongside 14-bit 100 mm pitch faders with range and keylock.

A built-in USB audio interface provides balanced 6.3 mm and RCA master outputs, an RCA booth output, a line/phono input and a 6.3 mm mic input with EQ. Two headphone outputs (3.5 mm and 6.3 mm) sit on the front panel. It connects to a computer over USB type B and ships with Serato DJ. It can also send MIDI to other DJ software.
