The JUPITER-Xm is a compact synthesizer built on the ZEN-Core sound generator, with various MODEL engines that reproduce Roland instruments such as the JUPITER-8, JUNO-106, SH-101, JX-8P, XV-5080, RD pianos and drum machines like the TR-808 and TR-909. It offers five parts (four play parts and one rhythm part), more than 4,000 preset tones and 256 scenes.
I-ARPEGGIO is an arpeggiator that detects what is played and generates drum, bass, chord and arpeggio parts for all five parts at once. Generated patterns can be edited and exported to a DAW. Hands-on control comes from knobs, sliders, buttons, two assignable sliders, three assignable switches, pitch and modulation wheels, and a dedicated effects section.
The unit runs on an AC adaptor or eight rechargeable Ni-MH AA batteries and has built-in stereo speakers that can also play Bluetooth audio. Bluetooth MIDI connects it to computers and iPad. Balanced XLR and 1/4-inch outputs, full-sized MIDI jacks, a mic input and USB audio/MIDI cover studio and stage use. It can share content with the full-size JUPITER-X.
