The Super UA is a Hi-Speed USB audio interface built around a die-cast metal main unit and a separate I/O breakout box. It plays back DSD (DoP 1.0, up to 5.6448 MHz input, down-converted to 2.8224 MHz) and PCM up to 32-bit float at 192 kHz, and records PCM at up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Recording in DSD is not possible.
The main unit has a large multi-function knob, level and volume indicators and illuminated buttons for selecting the mic, line and headphone sources and two monitor sets. It carries a line input, a balanced 1/4-inch line output and both 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch headphone jacks. The breakout box adds two XLR mic inputs with 48 V phantom power and a balanced XLR line output, and connects to the main unit by one 1.5 m cable.
The main unit can be detached and used alone as a two-in/two-out interface with dual headphone outputs, so mics and monitors can stay wired to the box in the studio. It connects to the computer over USB (micro B) and is powered by an AC adaptor. ASIO and Core Audio drivers are provided for Windows and macOS.
