V7 MK

The V7 MK is a handheld dynamic microphone with a supercardioid pattern, developed with singer Myles Kennedy. Its DMC7 X capsule uses an aluminium voice coil and neodymium magnet. The narrow pickup pattern helps separate the voice from other sources on stage and allows a good amount of gain before feedback. Recommended uses are vocals, speech, broadcasting, podcasting, electric guitar and drums.

The body is entirely metal, with a zinc alloy chassis and a bevelled spring-steel mesh grille that resists dents and corrosion. The bevelled rim stops the microphone rolling when it is put down. The finish is a custom distressed red plating with a black grille. A patented integrated shock mount decouples the capsule from mechanical vibration to keep handling noise low, and a switchable internal windscreen reduces wind noise and plosives.

The microphone connects through a gold-plated 3-pin XLR male connector. A spare black internal windscreen, a microphone clip, a thread adapter and a carrying bag are included in the box.
