The EW-D ME3 Set pairs an EW-D EM rack receiver with an EW-D SK metal-housed bodypack transmitter and an ME 3 headset microphone with a cardioid pattern. Digital transmission in the UHF band is used for range and reliability, and an auto scan function finds a clear connection automatically.
The system offers 134 dB of input dynamic range, so no sensitivity adjustment is needed. Intermodulation is eliminated, which allows channels to sit in an equidistant grid 600 kHz apart. With 56 MHz of tuning bandwidth and 2,240 selectable frequencies, up to 90 channels can be used together. The transmitter runs for up to 8 hours on the two supplied AA batteries, or up to 12 hours on an optional lithium-ion pack sold separately.
Setup and monitoring can be done from a phone or tablet through the Smart Assist app, which connects over Bluetooth Low Energy on Android and iOS. The receiver is supplied with rod antennas and a rackmount set.
